Brewery Chief Shares his Experiences at Christmas Meeting of HR Exchange

HR professionals, directors and business owners throughout the region are invited to enjoy Christmas lunch with Stephen Gould, Managing Director of Everards Brewery, at the next meeting of HR Exchange, Derby’s only dedicated HR networking group.
The event is taking place at Hilton East Midlands Airport hotel (off J24 M1) on Thursday 1 December (12.30pm – 2.00pm).
Guests will be able to enjoy a festive three-course lunch before listening to Stephen talk about the HR issues that he has encountered during his ascent to the position of Managing Director of Everards Brewery.
In addition to the issues covered at the event, there will also be the chance to ask Stephen questions about specific issues of interest.
Stephen joined the Leicester brewer as Trading Director in March 2003 and became Managing Director in 2005.
He has been responsible for the introduction of a number of bold and inventive initiatives, lead many changes including the expansion of the pub estate, innovative business partnerships like Projects William and Artisan along with the sale of non-core businesses. All with HR at the centre. In addition, he has overseen a rebranding of the Everards ale range.
HR Exchange is the city’s only dedicated HR networking group and meets four times a year.
Previous speakers include Ruth Badger from BBC TV’s ‘The Apprentice’ and Derby-based Kavita Oberoi, star of Channel 4’s ‘Secret Millionaire’, who both shared their HR experiences with local businesses.
Commenting on the event, Rob Tice, head of employment law at Flint Bishop LLP said:

HR Exchange is an informal networking group that brings together people who are responsible for HR and provides a platform for them to discuss topical HR issues. At each event a guest speaker presents on a relevant HR ‘hot topic’ and gives an insight into how they have approached a particular HR situation within their organisations.
