The Firm
A strong regional law firm with offices in Nottingham and Derby and with its sights set on opening an office in Leicester next year.
With turnover doubling over the last 3 years, the firm is continuing to grow from strength to strength whilst managing to balance its strong business and private client portfolios, both of which enjoy an enviable reputation in the region and increasingly beyond.
The culture in the firm is one of combining technical expertise with client focus delivery whilst always seeking to continually refine the way in which the firm does business.
Its commitment to quality and client focus delivery is highlighted by it being one of the first firms in the country to have been awarded the Law Society’s Lexcel Standard. The firm also achieved Investors in People status in 1997.
Types of Work
Our balanced client portfolio provides a wide range of opportunity for those seeking to develop their careers in either a commercially or private client focused environment.
We can offer training in our large commercial property department, our 4 partner corporate department or the independently recommended litigation, licensing, and employment departments.
Our full private client portfolio includes one of the largest family departments in the country, and leading probate and personal injury departments or more specialised groups such as our professional negligence section or our client focused at a distance conveyancing service - www.flintsdirect.com.
Who Should Apply
We are looking for those candidates who share our passion for developing not only our range of legal services, but the way in which they are delivered. Whilst technical ability remains a key factor, we are also looking for good communicators and those who will strive in a practice which views itself as a business rather than a traditional legal firm.
Training Programme
Training is usually divided into four six-month seats and we work closely with our trainees to try to ensure that they get the experience within their chosen departments.
Training follows a structured plan commencing with the Induction Training Programme and continues throughout the training contract and will include departmental training sessions, seminars and one to one coaching/guidance from Partners and other members of staff.
The Professional Skills Course will be undertaken during the Training Contract and each trainee has a “support team” and regular progress review meeting.
