Administration Assistant - ref DCADMIN0312

We are seeking applications for this role within our Direct Conveyancing department based at our Derby office.

Main tasks and duties

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Provide an accurate and efficient secretarial service as and when required

  • Take telephone calls for the department and provide initial quotes and information to potential clients

  • Assist the client or other party wherever possible in relation to their telephone call

  • Draft basic legal documentation, using precedents and by retrieving information from the client’s file

  • Filing on a daily basis

  • Opening and closing client files

  • Carry out general administrative tasks

 

Essential qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience

  • Previous secretarial experience including audio typing

  • Excellent expertise/knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Experience of working as a Team Member

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and to meet tight deadlines

  • Ability to deal with matters confidentially

  • Be able to demonstrate a “can do” attitude
