Flint Bishop is pleased to announce that Partner and Head of Family Law, Kirpal Bidmead, has been appointed as the Legal Services Director on the Derbyshire County Cricket Club’s Supervisory Board.
Kirpal steps into Partner, Robert Tice‘s shoes, who has stepped down after serving for 11 years. Kirpal will now be responsible for providing legal advice, handling lawsuits and negotiating contracts for the Club.
2017 promises to be an exciting year for the Club; around 15,000 music fans will attend when Sir Elton John brings his worldwide Wonderful Crazy Nights tour to Derby on 04 June. The Club will also be hosting the ICC Women’s World Cup opening match on 24 June with 7 more matches to follow.
All this, as well as a series of exciting events for former club captain Wayne Madsen’s testimonial year. Wayne Madsen led Derbyshire to the County Championship Division Two title as skipper in 2012 and is the county’s sixth-highest century-maker in first-class history.
Kirpal joined Flint Bishop Solicitors in 2012 and has gained an enviable reputation in the market. This year she was high commended as a ‘leading lawyer’ in the Chambers and Partners legal directory.
Ian Beardmore, Managing Partner for Private Client Services comments “I’m very pleased that Kirpal has joined the Club as Legal Services Director on the Supervisory Board at Derbyshire Country Cricket Club. She will be a great asset to the Club as it continues to grow. This year marks a great year for the Club with Elton John, the ICC Women’s World Cup and the Wayne Madsen Testimonial, to name a few. I have no doubt that Kirpal will perform as well at the Club, as she has done since joining Flint Bishop Solicitors. On behalf of the firm, I wish her the very best of luck as she takes up this role.”
