We are now one of the largest independent law firms in the East Midlands, over 170 lawyers and support staff across its two offices in Derby and Ashbourne. Revenue at Flint Bishop has increased by 11%, exceeding their target for the year.

Andrew Cochrane puts the success down to securing a number of nationally recognised blue chip clients. Flint Bishop now provides legal support and services to industry leading firms such as G4S, UK Mail, Autoglass, Opus Energy, SIG, Haven Insurance, Cost Cutter and Marston’s. The firm has launched several new projects into the market to also encourage further growth this year.

The Education team received a hat-trick of nominations at the Education Investor Awards and the Managing Partner Forum recognised elite lawyer Qamer Ghafoor. The Lawyer also shortlisted Flint Bishop as Regional Firm of the Year whilst the Debt Recovery arm of the firm continues to go from strength to strength and received the grand slam of all nationally recognised awards such as the CICM (Chartered Institute of Credit Management) and CCR (Credit Collections and Risk Strategy).

Flint Bishop have also introduced a new Partnership and Associate programme, appointing three new partners, as well as five senior associates and six associates.

Further to an annual staff survey completed this year, Andrew Cochrane comments:

“We were delighted by our confidential staff survey which showed 92% of staff had a positive attitude towards their company and colleagues, this really shows that we are all pulling in the right direction and this is why we have such great results”.

Commenting on the results overall, Qamer Ghafoor added:

“I am extremely pleased with our results for 2016/17. We have seen growth across the business and our positive results are a testament to the quality of our legal offering as well as the dedication and hard work of our staff. Financially, we are in a very strong position and we have already made several plans for further growth for each department in our new financial year which in itself has got off to a strong start”.
