Derby law firm Flint Bishop, has fought off fierce competition and has been shortlisted for the ‘Litigation Team of the Year’ at the Credit Today Awards in London.
This will add to their prestigious ‘Legal Recovery Firm of the Year’ win at Credit Today’s Debt Collection Awards for 2013/2014, The Legal 500’s ‘Regional Insurance Firm of the Year’ 2014/15 and top tier Legal 500 ranking.
The awards are organised by global publishing giant, Athene Publishing, which is the home for Credit Today’s leading UK magazine for the commercial and consumer credit industry.
Managing Partner of Commercial Services and Head of Litigation, Qamer Ghafoor, says; “The department has grown substantially during the last year and embarked on a major growth strategy with our interactive website and several new improvements to the service we offer to our high profile and well known clients, both in our debt recovery and commercial litigation departments.
As a business we pride ourselves in exceeding our clients’ expectations. For example, we took on a new client who had numerous contractual disputes over their entitlement to payment for their services. Using our innovative approach and by taking the time to get under the skin of their business and the problems they were facing, we increased the success rate for this business and their recoveries by 500% within twelve months.
Our work includes both commercial litigation and contested debt recovery and we offer innovative pricing structures to allow contested debts to be pursued, when otherwise they may have been uncommercial to take further.
Several recent client wins have been a testament to the team’s hard work and commitment and how our goal is to always put our clients’ needs first. Our commercial litigation team has grown to be one of the biggest and most respected in the Midlands and our national client base is a reflection of this.
We’re delighted with the nomination and look forward to the awards ceremony on 14th May in London.”
