Six of our employees are amongst the first to enter the Jenson Button Trust Triathlon team challenge, which will be held for the first time in Derby this July.

Our first team, which includes Martyn Brierley (cycling), William Bowler (running) and Ran Oren (swimming), will be going head-to-head with our second team which includes Parminder Takhar (running), Nick Wells (cycling) and Andrew Perry (swimming), at Markeaton Park on Sunday 12 July 2015.

Other teams of three people can enter the team challenge by visiting the Jenson Button Trust Triathlon website.

Each member will tackle one of the three triathlon stages. The first stage is swimming 200m in Markeaton Lake, then handing over to the second team member who will cycle 10km into the city centre and, finally, the third member completes a 2.5km run at the park. Each team races twice, once in the morning and once in the afternoon.

Team members will all receive a medal, a goody bag and one signed race t-shirt per team from Jenson Button, which they can display in their workplace or at home. There will be a tent for team members to relax, enjoy a post-race massage and soak in the atmosphere with food, drink, live music. Prizes will then be presented by Jenson Button.

It costs £250.00 to enter a team and competitors are encouraged to raise as much money as possible between them for the triathlon’s official charity partner, Cancer Research UK.

Nick Wells, who will be participating in the triathlon on behalf of the firm, commented:

“The day will be great fun and it will be fantastic to meet up with seasoned triathletes and, of course, Jenson Button himself, whilst competing against our colleagues and many in the Derby professional community that we work with and know well.”
