Flint Bishop Solicitors, one of the Midlands’ leading law firms, has been named as one of the top legal employers in the UK.
The firm, which employs around 200 staff at its offices in Derby and Ashbourne, is one of just 22 law firms across the UK to receive the highly sought after Top Legal Employers accreditation by global publishing corporation CRF, which conducts research into best business practice.
Top Legal Employers United Kingdom 2009 identifies those law firms who are considered the cream of the crop in the dynamic and ever-evolving legal industry.
Having applied for the Top Legal Firm status in 2008 and successfully passed the pre-selection stage, Flint Bishop was required to undergo a rigorous evaluation process over a period of months.
This involved detailed research and analysis into the firm’s policies in areas including pay and benefits, promotion and development, training, company culture, innovation, diversity and CSR.
This was then evaluated by a panel of experts, with each area of interest given a different weighting according to its importance.
Flint Bishop exceeded the set benchmark in all areas and has now been awarded the prestigious CRF Quality Seal, which can be used in all of its communication materials and media activities.
Their results will also be published, together with along with a company profile, in the Top Legal Employers United Kingdom 2009 book.
Commenting on the accreditation, Managing Partner Ken Dixon said:
“We are all delighted that Flint Bishop has been awarded this prestigious accreditation.
“To be one of just 22 law firms across the UK to receive Top Legal Employer status is a tremendous achievement and reflects the culture that we have worked so hard to create across the practice,” added Ken.
This accreditation follows hot on the heels of a whole host of other awards for Flint Bishop including coming top in both the 2007/8 and 2008/9 Diversity Table conducted by the Black Solicitors’ Network and Commission for Racial Equality.
