Flint Bishop’s Litigation Department Attracts Specialist Commercial Barrister and Appoints New Partner |

Helen Edwards, a barrister specialising in commercial litigation has joined the commercial dispute resolution team at Derby-based solicitors Flint Bishop and commercial litigation solicitor Nick Wells has been promoted to partner.
Helen has spent her career so far at the independent bar; for the past five years, she practised as a barrister at Five Paper, a London set specialising in commercial litigation. She has extensive experience of advocacy, at both High Court and County Court level, and is a skilled negotiator.
Nick has been with the firm for nearly 8 years and specialises in commercial litigation and commercial property litigation and has gained a reputation for his analytical ability and judgment on commercial disputes. Nick has developed a particular specialism in dealing with complex commercial contract disputes in specialist lists of the High Court.
These appointments reflect Flint Bishop’s growing profile in the arena of commercial dispute resolution. Headed up by Qamer Ghafoor (described in the Legal 500 as an “A-star litigator”) the department acts for numerous major national clients in complex & high value commercial litigation claims and is highly ranked in the Legal 500.
