over 20 years and has developed an enviable reputation as a leading litigator in the East Midlands. He deals

A significant amount of Andrew's experience is within the licensing sector and he has been responsible for
driving the growth of the department and played an integral role in the firms appointment as sole advisors

Qamer has a wealth of experience in complex commercial litigation claims, with a particular interest in

Heather joined Flint Bishop as a trainee solicitor in 1995 after graduating with a Masters in Law from Bristol University. After a three year stint with the Sheffield office of national law firm Nabarro LLP, Heather returned to Flint Bishop in 2002 and was made partner in commercial property in 2003.
Heather advises a number of the regions largest and most influential residential and commercial developers on all aspects of development. Heather specialises in freehold and leasehold site acquisitions and disposals, site assembly, conditional contracts, joint ventures, options, planning and funding agreements.
Heather has gained a reputation as a specialist in the education sector and has recently advised Derby College and Ecclesbourne School on several high profile multi-million projects.

Russell qualified in 1991 and joined Flint Bishop in September 2011. He moved to the East Midlands in 1994, and has specialised in Construction and Engineering since 1998, initially in two other local firms before moving in-house as Wilson Bowden Plc's first construction lawyer in 2004.
After Wilson Bowden's takeover by Barratt Developments plc in 2007 he became Head of Legal Services for the Barratt Group of companies including Barratt Homes, David Wilson Homes, Ward Homes and Wilson Bowden Developments.

Russell is experienced in all areas of construction and engineering law including procurement (contracts, appointments, warranties and related documents) and dispute resolution by negotiation, mediation, adjudication, expert determination, litigation and arbitration.

Zaf joined the firm as a trainee in 1991 working in personal injury litigation. After becoming a partner in 1998 he was appointed the head of the personal injury department in 2006.
With over 18 years experience advising defendant and claimant clients Zaf has earned a formidable reputation as a leading personal injury litigator, specialising in complex and significant cases. Recently Zaf received regional and national media coverage in successfully securing damages in the sum of £6.1 million for a severely injured client who received catastrophic head injuries in a road traffic accident. The case was particularly important as he secured one of the largest Periodical Payments Orders to date.

Ken qualified as a solicitor in 1989 and spent most of his early career as a personal injury litigator with Manchester based Amelans; joining Flint Bishop as an assistant solicitor in 1992.
After three years with the firm Ken was made partner and subsequently head of personal injury litigation. The highlight of Ken's litigation career was during this period as he successfully represented the Claimant Maria Mility v F W Farnsworth Limited in a repetitive strain injury (RSI) case - resulting in the largest RSI award in the England and Wales.
After just nine years with Flint Bishop Ken was made managing partner in 2001.
He shares managerial and strategic development duties with senior partner, Ian Beardmore, and is a key driving force responsible for creating the friendly, supportive 'open door' culture and the 'putting you first' client strategy.

Jane came to Flint Bishop as a school-leaver in 1982 and in the November of that year joined the Conveyancing Department. Working her way through the ranks, Jane was promoted to head of residential conveyancing in 2008.
Jane not only has extensive experience in conveyancing but is also a well recognised and highly respected member of the local and regional property market with strong relationships with many of the leading estate agents.
With glowing client feedback, it is no wonder Jane is used to dealing with an extremely high work load. However, Jane prides herself on her ability to communicate with clients thoroughly to ensure they are comfortable with the process all the way along. After beginning her professional career training as a Chartered Accountant, Claire changed direction to train as a Solicitor, qualifying in Leicester in 2000. She subsequently spent 5 years working in Nottingham where she rose to associate and then joined Flint Bishop in 2006.
Claire became a partner and Head of the Wills, Probate, Tax and Trusts Department in 2010.
Since qualifying Claire has specialised in dealing with all aspects of Wills and Probate work, including trusts, tax planning, elderly client issues, Court of Protection and Public Guardianship work, and charities. She has extensive experience in dealing with high net worth estates including foreign assets and complex trusts, where her accountancy training proves very useful.
